1. Should I buy an ultrawide monitor?
Ultrawide monitors are an alternative to multiple monitor setups, eliminating the ugly split frames separating two or more monitors, creating a unified experience.
With multiple monitors, you can multitask, such as one for gaming, one for working.
With an ultrawide monitor, you can only get one job done on one monitor. This is especially true when gaming, as ultrawide resolutions can affect even high-end graphics cards.
You also need to take into account the physical size of the large ultrawide monitor and need to make sure there is enough space for it.
2. Are ultrawide monitors good for gaming?
Yes they can. While not all ultrawide monitors are designed for gaming, there are a few that offer impressive gaming experiences. Large, curved ultrawide monitors can wrap your field of vision in a more inclusive way than a traditionally sized monitor.
Note, however, that not all games support ultrawide resolutions and these extra pixels can affect the graphics card.
Our suggestions are based on what we consider to be the best ultrawide gaming monitors currently on the market. They have been modified to work for the majority of people in each price bracket. Based on our review, which also takes into account the cost and visitor comments, we provide ratings.
Here is a list of every review we have written for an ultrawide monitor in case you would rather decide for yourself. Be careful not to become bogged down in the particulars. The majority of monitors are sufficient for the majority of users, and the flaws we criticize them for are frequently invisible unless you actively seek for them.
